Evil Stood at the Door

05 Jun

Come take the life of this innocence

that has been pushed into the asylums

door, she did not want to go. It was that

dreadful day that evil winds did blow.

Murmurs of the crazed inmates called,

“they will soon have you strapped to a

bed”, and it did not matter as the young

innocent one already felt dead.

He the controller, and the mother told lies,

the innocent could see it behind their evil eyes.

A preacher, a doctor, a nurse told the innocent

one to repent, lying tongues filling the air with

an evil scent.

Placed in a drugged daze, inmates took bets,

would the fair haired girl have regrets.

White face and chalky cheeks soon the innocent

could no longer speak.

Evil stood at the door, happy that they would see

her no more… she smiled for soon her dying soul

would soar.

Innocence allowed evil to take her… he was a

fair-haired boy, and his flaxen locks blowing in

the wind, he should have brought her joy.

This evil, his knowledge was that of the earth, his

touch softer than new fallen leaves; like a spider,

his evil web around her he did weave.

Promised to another she could not break the mothers

control, to the mother evil was a rare find all false

goodness, a phony kind; her heart she placed in

a tower made to erase a true love from her mind.

In her death will evil be happy and free, will her true

love be in heaven for her to see. Life is cruel, more

than innocence could ever believe.

She floated into an abyss feeling upon her lips her

true loves kiss.

Well that’s pretty heavy. Is there backstory to it?
